Introducing the beautifully versatile Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel Er:YAG Laser technology. The iPixel is a highly effective fractional ablative skin resurfacing treatment procedure that uses an Erbium YAG laser with a 2940mm wavelength.

The Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel procedure is a highly diverse treatment that can treat concerns ranging from mild to moderate signs of ageing to both body and facial scarring. The Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel device works by increasing the skin’s moisture content levels whilst also reducing the appearance of any superficial pigmentation and enlarged pores.

Unlike typical ablative laser resurfacing treatments which remove the entire top layer of the skin, the iPixel laser treatment employs a fractional delivery method which creates pixel-sized perforations within the skin without the need to remove the top layer of the skin. Therefore, the surrounding tissue is left intact and the skin heals much faster than it would with other lasers of the same kind.

There’s very little the iPixel Laser can’t treat! Benefits of this treatment include:
– Complete Skin Resurface
– Targeting Fine lines and wrinkles
– Ridding the area of Keratose
– Improves overall tone, elasticity and texture
– Increases moisture content
– Reduces superficial pigmentation and pore size

Patients typically require 2-4 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart.

At CULTSKIN®, all patients are required to have an in-depth clinical skin consultation and scan with one of our CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialists to assess and provide a personalised iPixel treatment plan tailored to their exact skin needs.

All patients must also have an iPixel test patch 48 hours prior to their treatment to ensure suitability and maximum safety for treatment.

iPixel Laser FAQs

The Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel treatment does include some downtime, so we do strongly recommend that you plan appropriately around having this treatment procedure. Usually following the procedure, you may notice a ‘grid’ like texture to your skin. This is completely normal, and each microscopic dot represents an area of skin that has been treated.

You may experience a ‘sunburn’ sensation across the treatment area for 3-4 days post-procedure and may have some slight erythema and swelling around the treatment site. Rest assured, all the above is extremely normal and should subside quickly with effective aftercare usage as provided by your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist.

Following your Alma Harmony XL Pro ipixel treatment, you must avoid the usage of any active homecare products for 7 days pre- and post-procedure.

Immediately after your iPixel resurfacing treatment, you must avoid cleansing your skin for 24 hours. Cleansing your skin immediately after your iPixel resurfacing treatment can accelerate the sunburn sensation and cause moderate to severe discomfort.

For the first 7 days pre/post procedure, you can cleanse your skin and must apply a non-comedogenic moisturiser and SPF50 regularly. All products being used on your skin must be discussed with your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist to ensure that the approved skincare is being used throughout your treatment journey. After the 7 days, upon your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin specialist recommendation, you can then resume back to your original skin regime – including actives!

All patients must listen to their skin!

Therefore, the above timeframes may not apply to all patients and their skins needs. Your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist will be able to thoroughly assess your skin and advise alternative timeframes if deemed suitable.

During the Alma Harmony XL iPixel treatment, it is expected to experience a moderate level of heat across the treatment area. Throughout the Alma Harmony XL iPixel treatment process, your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist will ensure that appropriate adjustments are made to always provide a comfortable treatment experience for you.
Following the Alma Harmony XL iPixel treatment, it is expected to still experience a
moderate level of heat which can be best described as feeling like a sunburn. Rest assured, your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist will ensure that a soothing aftercare ointment is applied to your skin post-procedure to help relieve any facial warmth and swelling.

For all patients, we ensure you must have a medical-grade CULTSKIN® consultation and skin scan to assess suitability for the Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel treatment.
For Fitzpatrick skin types 5/6, we are unfortunately unable to perform an Alma Harmony XL Pro iPixel treatment, however, have a fantastic range of other treatment options that are safe and suitable for patients of a darker skin tone.

For patients who are a Fitzpatrick skin type 3/4, you must be using a tyrosinase inhibitor, at least 4weeks before your treatment. At your medical-grade consultation and skin scan, your CULTSKIN® Advanced Skin Specialist will be able to assess your skin suitability and provide a suitable recommendation of tyrosinase inhibitor to ensure that your skin is effectively prepped for your tailored iPixel treatment plan.
