What Is Profhilo®?

Profhilo® is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve skin hydration and firmness through bio-remodelling. Unlike dermal fillers, Profhilo® does not aim to add volume or change facial shape. Instead, it improves the overall quality of the skin helping it appear smoother, firmer and more radiant.

It is ideal for patients noticing early laxity, dullness or dehydration and wanting a natural-looking improvement. Profhilo® is often used as part of a structured skin maintenance programme.

How Does It Work?

IS PROFHILO® A FILLER?

Profhilo® is not a dermal filler or bio-revitaliser, it provides a completely different approach to the skin. Although also Hyaluronic acid-based, it is a bio-remodelling product, which is a new category in injectable moisturisers, otherwise known as a skin booster.

Profhilo® is excellent at reversing the general signs of ageing and dehydration. When used facially it is injected into several strategic points around the face and spreads through the superficial layers of the skin to provide an overall hydrating and rejuvenating effect. Whereas Dermal fillers are used to target specific areas due to its’ thicker consistency meaning it’ll stay in the area its’ been injected into, before metabolising naturally over a period of time.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SETTLE AFTER EACH TREATMENT?

Typically most patients notice that the area treated has settled in a few hours, if not, after 24 hours, as the gentle injection points heal fairly quickly.

OTHER THAN MY FACE WHERE ELSE CAN I HAVE PROFHILO®?

The most common areas of Profhilo® treatment include the face and neck and can also be used for the décolletage, hands, arms, knees and abdomen area where it would effectively treat skin laxity.
