Typically, a patient would need anywhere between 4-8 sessions, one to be had every 4 weeks, to attain their desired result. Upon consultation your CULTSKIN® Skin Specialist will advise a complete Treatment Plan, with a more accurate prediction, once the area of question has been assessed.

Your treated area has been heated from the inside out, so immediately after the treatment you can expect moderate erythema (redness of the skin caused by injury or another inflammation-causing condition) for the rest of the day for some patients. You would’ve left the treatment protected with SPF, so no need to re-apply unless the area is washed off. There is no official downtime, however, for the next 24 hours post-treatment, we just advise patients to avoid heat treatments such as saunas, steam rooms and strenuous or sweat-inducing exercise. For the next few days, SPF protection is imperative on the area and try to avoid direct sunlight, by covering the area with an item of clothing or positioning in the shade to help the healing process action efficiently. During this period post-treatment, you can expect an initial darkening of the pigmented area, as the pigment is lifted through the layers of the skin to then eventually scab over and fall/peel off, leaving a lightened, more even complexion of the area.
