Tear Trough Filler

CULTSKIN® Lab is a 12 month subscription service which entitles the patient to one advanced skin treatment every month for a year!

Tear trough rejuvenation is a non-surgical treatment, which is appropriate for some patients with lower eyelid dark circles and dark hollows. Many experience loss of volume in this area over time which can result in a tired appearance. This area has been treated typically with Hyaluronic-Acid based fillers, achieved by injecting dermal filler, within the peri-orbital area until desired outcome is achieved. It can also be used to replace volume that may have been lost over time. We typically inject approximately 0.5ml-1ml each side of the face depending upon what is to be achieved, however exact amounts, pricing and what to expect will be discussed with you within your consultation and highlighted within your CULTSKIN® Treatment plan.

Harnessing the power of your body’s own natural resources, we also have Natural Filler available as an alternative, that we call Regen MD, using Cellenis® PRP dermafiller to deliver remarkable, natural-looking results, enhance volume and skin quality in the area, appearing fuller, but not over-filled – without the usual drawbacks of synthetic or Hyaluronic-Acid based, traditional filler. Derived from your own plasma cells the innovative natural filler not only adds natural instant volume, it also stimulates collagen production in the area, as it breaks down over time.
As well as all the traditional benefits of PRP, additional benefits from the Regen MD treatment include:
  • Virtually no downtime or side effects
  • Safe, effective, versatile, non-allergenic
  • Advanced Technology, minimises red blood cells
  • Exceptional performance compared to traditional PRP methods
  • Up to 3-8 times the concentration vs platelets in whole blood
  • Trusted results, backed by 6 published clinical studies
  • Over 1 million cases performed
  • Incredibly high patient satisfaction
We’re also offering targeted areas to now be treated, instead of a full face, however, more often than not, optimised results would be found with the RegenMD Facelift approach. Speaking to your CULTSKIN® Doctor in depth, if unsure on which targeted areas, amounts and treatment would achieve the best possible result for you! We at CULTSKIN® recommend the ideal protocol to be an initial 2 Sessions – 1st round had, and then 3 Months later, the 2nd round. Need more volume? Maintenance Required? Then it would be advised for most, to have the initial 2 Sessions had, consisting of 1st round had, and then 3 Months later, the 2nd round, completing 6 Months later, with the 3rd round. However, as with any other treatment, your CULTSKIN® Doctor will advise your exact treatment plan within your consultation.

Tear Trough Filler FAQs

In the lower eyelid a weakening of the orbital septum, and in the cheek area (the “mid-face”) a loss of soft tissue volume, which tends to accentuate the appearance of the lower bony orbital margin which lies between the lower eyelid and the cheek. This also leads to the appearance of lower eyelid fat pockets and together these can lead to a “tear trough” depression, or dark shadow or hollow.

At CULTSKIN®, a small innovative micro cannula is used to give precise injections of dermal filler along the eyelid hollows to try and reverse the effects. This procedure should only be carried out by an experienced advanced aesthetic practitioner such as Dr Esho or one of the CULTSKIN® Doctors.

Topical anaesthetic is also applied before the procedure. The dermal filler used also contains local anaesthetic. At CULTSKIN®, Teosyal re-density II is the filler of choice, but other fillers are also used depending on the patients preference and Doctors advice. Likewise, with our Regen MD Natural Filler, the patient’s own plasma is adapted to create filler to then inject, so it is dependable.

Results can last between 9-12 months but this can be patient dependant.

Some patients may not be suitable for tear trough filler and may need alternative methods to treat their tear troughs. Patients may benefit from a combination of cosmetic eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) and tear trough injections. Tear trough filler can also be used in synergy with adding volume to the cheek and mid face with filler injections if this is necessary. The best treatment option for the patient is advised at the consultation.
